This book is about a brother and sister, Gregor and Boots. When Gregor follows his baby sister Boots, into an air duct in his laundry room, he finds himself in the Underland where there are giant bats, cockroaches, and rats. There are also Pale-skinned, Violet eyed Humans, who live in Regalia, a city in the Underland where humans live peacefully. There’s a prophecy that Gregory is part of and which leads him and Boots deeper into the Underland.
This is book 1 in the Underland Chronicles.

I could not put down this book. I love reading about Gregor and Boots as they venture deeper in the underland. Gregor realizes that without them home their mother would be worried; I know my mom would. Gregor realizes this and wants to go home. But will he ever find a way back home with his sister?
